Carrots and Gouda Casserole

This is a family tradition for Thanksgiving and Christmas!


Ingredients


  • 1 small bag of potato chips

  • 4 cups carrots sliced

  • 1/2 stick of butter melted

  • 1 small onion diced

  • 1 cup gouda cheese - cubed


Directions


  • Peel carrots and slice​, boil for 6 to 7 minutes.

  • Place a layer of carrots in greased casserole dish

  • Sprinkle with onions

  • layer some cheese and then do other layers to the top.

  • with cheese on top.

  • Pour butter in and around the carrots.

  • Top with crushed potato chips

  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. You can keep it in the oven for as long as you like at 200 degrees and it just gets better.
